On Tuesday, “The Fire Seekers” was ranked around #1,300,000 on Kindle – about typical, for a book that had not yet even been published. On Wednesday morning, it went live on Kindle as a “Kindle First” pick-of-the-month. By that afternoon, one very fast reader had given it an excellent five-star review, and by Thursday afternoon it had climbed through #800, and #200, and #50, to reach #15. I was rubbing shoulders with Diana Gabaldon and John Grisham!
Long may it last; of course, it probably won’t:
“In the future, everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes.” (Andy Warhol)
It’s an exhilarating feeling, but I really must stop thinking about it and get on with Book Two…
